LP-Cover
Auch dieses Projekt war eine Vorgabe der Uni. Die Aufgabenstellung war ein LP-Cover einer beliebigen Band oder Sänger:in zu entwerfen. Ich habe für das damals neue Album von
AnnenMayKantereit
eine Spezialedition entworfen. Bei folgendem Cover und dazugehörigem Booklet geht es vor allem um die Materialsprachlichkeit und das analoge Arbeiten.
Die Vorderseite des Plattencovers ist mit Trockenblumen
belegt. Das Album „12“ ist in der Coronazeit entstanden.
Die Blumen sollen an die Coronazeit erinnern. Im ersten
Lockdown durfte man nur zum Spazieren an die frische
Luft hinaus. Da sind die Blumen her, und erinnern an diese
Zeit.
Die schwarze Farbe, die über den Blumen liegt ist wie ein Schatten
dies symbolisiert das Dunkle, Düstere und Ernste. Inhaltlich
sind ihre Songs überladen mit Sozialkritik wo es z.B um
den Umgang mit der Flüchtlingskriese (Moria) oder
den Anschlag in Hanau geht. Das politische Album fängt den
Zeitgeist wo sich die Bandmitglieder selbst ermahnen und
hinterfragen.
Das Booklet besteht aus Songtexten,
Informationen über die Band, Informationen über das
Album sowie Funfacts.
Die Rückseite zeigt die drei Bandmitglieder mit Masken.
Die Masken deuten wieder darauf hin, dass das Album in
der Coronazeit entstanden ist.
Einer der besonderen Merkmale der Band ist, dass der
Sänger Henning eine raue, kratzige Stimme hat.
Die Masken sind zum wegrubbeln, wie ein Lottolos.
Lottolose geben üblicherweise eine Überraschung preis.
In dem Fall ist die Überraschung, die unerwartete Stimme
des Sängers.

This project was also a requirement of the university. The assignment was to design an LP cover of any band or singer:in. I designed for the new album of AnnenMayKantereit. I designed a special edition. The following cover and accompanying booklet are mainly about the material language and analogue work.
The front of the record cover is covered with dried flowers. The album "12" was created in the Corona time.the flowers should remind of the Corona time. In the firstLockdown you were only allowed out for a walk in the fresh air. That's where the flowers come from, and remind you of that time. The black color over the flowers. Like a shadow. That lies on them, this symbolizes the dark, gloomy and serious. Contentwise their songs are overloaded with social criticism where it is for example about the handling of the refugee crisis (Moria) or the attack in Hanau. The political album captures the zeitgeist where the band members admonish and question themselves.
The boklet consists of several pages. Song lyrics, information about the band, information about the album and fun facts are present in the boklet.
